an off night
It may have been subjective, but I am fairly sure this was an off night. Only King's Solomon's really had the fire in it!
Across 8 or so shows's ive seen of Further, almost half of them were hot, and a few were WAY hot.
Better than many Dead shows I saw.
But some really ho hum kinda not there shows happen too- yes, it happens. A sign that they are the real thing- Dead were the same way

Great second set
I was at the show, it was a real nice night. The first set was good but not great, but the second set was a real scorcher. Great scarlet>fire; real powerful vocals on dear prudence. Real good stuff. Definitely worth a download, especially for the second set.

Hey Lank, Get off your Dad's computer, run back under your bed and cry some more for mama...

Good Show
I was at this show and I had a great time. There are plenty of good moments in this show. I didn't think they played Mission in the Rain prior to this and it looks like I was right :-)
I don't want to feed to the troll too much, but its not clear to me how someone who was there could have such a negative opinion. This band keeps getting better and better and I can't wait to see them again!

lankster, i'm not quite sure why you feel the need to post so many negative reviews about furthur shows. maybe this just isn't the trip for you, and maybe it's just time for you to move on. JK rocks man. as far as i'm concerned the music is still playing. believe it if you need it or leave it if you dare.

THELANKSTER really needs to pull back. Away from the whole scene. It's never going to be wat you want it to be so do everybody a favor and go see Smashing Pumpkins so there will be more tix for those peeps that appreciate JK and all his talents....Thats all I got

Space to move & dance
What a fun show with killer setlist. Looks like a lot of folks were at the Vibes instead of here making it feel a lot like the old days when only the truly Deadicated were in the audience.
Ekhart Tolle: "See if you can catch yourself complaining in either speech or thought about a situation you find yourself in. What other people say or do, your surroundings, your life situation, even the weather. For to complain is always non-acceptance of what is and it invariable carries an unconscious negative charge. So when you complain you make yourself a victim. Either leave the situation, change the situation or accept it. All else is madness."
"People who habitually complain are just looking for attention to make themselves feel better by dumping on someone else. This is a Juvenile approach to living & human relationships." --- Shiva Ho

Hey Lankster
I've read your reviews, and I experience you as being sour about this whole furthur thing. I consider myself quite picky about which recordings I'll give a second listen. For me 90% of the concerts with Garcia are throwaways, and I used to wonder after leaving a show, how can they charge money for this? I also wonder why do people write glowing reviews about stuff I hear as the worst. That said, the Dead's music has been my favorite for over 30 years.
I have a question for you to consider - why does John's guitar playing piss you off so much? Music's quality is subjective. If someone like's Furthur and you don't - what is it that gets your goat?
Suggested listening - Dark Star Orchestra 2008-03-06.
(from the late 70's on). I also find it amazing when people write glowing reviews for shows that I feel are lame. My questions for you is - why are you so pissed off? Why do you keep going to shows?

Lankster please stop.
I was there but were you? If you were, you'd know the second set was a monster, and JK, or Cadillac as my friend calls him, was the best I've seen him. Listen to Althea, or Estimated, close your eyes and if you feel the same simply go listen to another band. It's childish to try to convince us to agree with you when you are clearly out of it. Oh, and Bobby singing Mission and Prudence was wonderful so no Bobby bashing either. I'm loving the Jerry Band love this tour!

Not Again.......
You know I keep trying to get aboard this Further project but once again I get a-bored !!!!! No guitar playing would be better than listening to Kantplayalik try to muster up something well...anything that isn't just screwing the pooch. Bobby and Phil should be ashamed to take the stage with the Ship of FOOLS
